The genral overview is how the cultures of the aboriginal and torres strait islanders have changed overtime and how they have remained resilient. Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures changed from being totally self-sufficient to relying on rations after British farming and livestock destroyed their traditional food and ecosystems, after this it only got worse. The resilience was actually happened when the aborigonal and torres strait islanders experienced many injustices, including children being removed from their families and communities. Despite these challenges, they showed great resilience by continuing to fight for their rights and culture. The 1967 Referendum was an important moment in this struggle and showed the strength and determination of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.
